About Educate To Save Initiative

Educate To Save is an ancillary initiative of The Kalgidhar Society – Baru Sahib to draw support for children of impoverished families who are deprived of education. Though our Society strives to support several such children to the best possible extent of our capacity yet our contribution alone remains confined to serving only a small fraction as the expanse of poverty is large in these regions.

We serve all people, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender.

Our team keeps surveying these regions to identify children/applicants who are not able to attend school due to financial constraints, and then our authentication team checks for validation of these cases through available documents & family site surveys before they get enlisted for seeking sponsorship.

My dream is to give free/subsidized education to at least 20,000 needy/underprivileged kids every year.

As mentioned in the Bhai Gurdas Ji’s Kabit Sawayiye:

ਜੈਸੇ ਸਤ ਮੰਦਰ ਕੰਚਨ ਕੇ ਉਸਾਰ ਦੀਨੇ ਤੈਸਾ ਪੁੰਨ ਸਿਖ ਕਉ ਇਕ ਸਬਦ ਸਿਖਾਏ ਕਾ ।।

So this is my humble appeal to all Sadh Sangat ji to save whatever you can; as per your capacity and educate kids. We have built so many enormous places of worship, but no one visits there except for elderly people. We should make such Temples of Learning where kids go and recite Almighty’s name and do the Prayers daily apart from the modern scientific education.

We should contribute Tithe (10th part) of our hard-earned money to this project and get the blessings of Almighty with our small contribution.
